Cute Shark

Made this adorable semi-realistic shark colored with watercolor in Fundamentals of Art recently as part of our newest project: surrealistic "tunnel" portrait. Not really surrealistic like Dalí surrealism, but it's a pretty small shark doodle (about the size of my palm) so it works enough.

I think it's super cute and one of my favorite things I've ever drawn even compared to my realistic drawings. This project also reignited my love of watercolor. Fundamentals isn't really helping me get better at my art skills per say, but it does remind me of things I used to love doing. Before FOA I hadn't used any form of paint for about 7 years! Graphite will probably be my main love, but I have some charcoal I'm gonna stay using and my polychromos and all these fun stuff I recently got and I can't wait!

Most likely there will be more shark doodles to come!!!
